City's Keeper situation

Where do people stand on city's bid to sign a new keeper for 3 games? and should they go for?

I personally think they have picke their squad for the remainder season on the 31st Jan and as a result should have to play Tevez in net if need be. It strikes me as a tad unfair if they get permission.Liverpool have no decent fit strikers at the club for this weekend but it doesn't mean that they should be allowed to go and get David Villa in on loan to help them finish 4th.

That said if they do get permission, the obvious one is Joe Hart as he is technically their player anyway. But if birmingham refuse they could maybe get some milage out of asking if Portsmouth want David James off their wages bill until the end of the season for a small fee.
