I’d have to agree with Rob regarding Owen. Maybe I still see him through rose tinted glasses, but I always thinks he is a threat when he is on the pitch. I am sure if he managed to stay fit and was given an extended run of games in the 1st 11 he could have proved a valuable player for Utd. Despite the fact he is renowned for his goal scoring prowess I think his link up play has been excellent for Utd, and his movement is a different class.
As for his counterpart – Berbatov. I think he is getting progressively worse. It is as though he has accepted his plight and given up!
I would agree with most of your team though Chris and if I was to make any changes/additions or suggest potential alternatives they would be:
Santa Cruz , Ryan Babel, Kenwyn Jones, Andrerson, David Bentley, Steven Ireland, and Eduardo , possibly even Bendtnar and John Terry. I know Bendtnar has scored, but I honestly think he is in the Berbatov class when it comes to effort, and he can be so slow to take a chance.
Also probably a Gerrard addition based on his personal underperforming. There are a lot of midfielders who have been worse, but he has personally underperformed considerably.
