Cheers for that Rob, you could also have mentioned that food prices are rising around the world which also leaves us pretty f**ked as we now import pretty much everything and provide little support to our farmers, thus a weakening economy cannot be compensated for by falling food prices. Meanwhile the the French farmers get big handouts from EU money so they'll be fine.

One good thing tough is that domestic tourism is likely to rise and keep some cash in the country, seeing as the rising Euro means no one will be able to afford a trip to the continent in the near future, and rising fuel prices (plus no doubt some extra GREEN taxes) mean no one will be able to afford to fly long distance.
