The first ever International Allstar Poker Night went down a treat on the 24th March 2007. Spookily after Gaz had sent out the invites showing the last supper, there was 13 people at the last supper, and 13 people at Gaz & Laura's house - 13 Aniline Street!!! 13 pictures were taken on the night and what many don't realise is that it was Louis's 13th birthday!

The festivities began with a couple of drinks at Gaz and Laura’s house before everyone headed into town to watch a dull game of football at the Prince of Wales. England played out a miserable 0 – 0 draw with Israel, but the Allstars were in a cheerful mood and most of them didn’t watch the match so didn’t particularly care!

From there it was back to the Griffin Hill Casino for a swashbuckling game of poker.

The players were Gaz Griffin, (Big Gay) John Banks, John (the Gerbil) Orritt, Rick (the sprain) Ford, Mark (Pob) Whitworth, Rob (Von Trapp) Sharples, Andy (the hands) Hardman, Peter (Perfect) Sawyer, Chris (the Craic) Worgan, Louis (the Hebrew)Yates and Jenny (Don’t be Hasty), and (Chorley) Dave Briscoe.

The beautiful croupier for the night was Laura (the mole) Hill, although she was more barmaid than croupier.

It didn’t take long for the first few players to go all in and knock themselves out of the game with Louis and partner Jenny trying to bluff everyone, putting all the chips on a high card.

Soon to follow was poker expert Pete Sawyer who lost all to John the Gerbil Orritt.

That put John in the driving seat, but he soon followed suit and went out along with Pob, Rob, Andy and Rick.

That left Chris, Gaz, John Banks and Chorley Dave to fight it out for the huge cash prize of £55.

After some nail biting play Chorley Dave went out and the three amigos of Gaz, John and Chris were left in.

They played for a long and gruelling period of time, but could not be separated. Therefore, so as not to bore the other Allstars they decided to play a winner takes all, one-off hand. The hand saw Chris emerge victorious and become the Official “Allstars Poker Champion 2007!”

However, the real success of the night was the drunken fun had by all on yet another legendary team night out!
