Allstars Fantasy Footy

It is easy to underestimate the cost of running a local football team. Annual costs including FA registration, insurances, league registration, trophies, training facilities, pitch fees and referee fees all add up to a relatively large amount for a non-sponsored club to pay, then any new kit, footballs, equipment, etc required is an added burden. All in all, the Allstars run up a bill of well over £1000 a year!

In the most part the money required is raised by the players themselves who pay a signing on fee and also pay a small amount for every game they play plus every training session they attend. However, that still leaves a slight shortfall which has to be recovered somehow. The Allstars have therefore introduced a fundraising fantasy footy game available for the players’ friends and relatives to play in order to raise a little additional money.

The game costs £1 per week, with a prize for the top scorer every month, plus big prizes for the three teams placed top at the end of the season, and a prize is also awarded in a cup competition which kicks off towards the end of the season. The prize breakdown is as follows:

There are 9 monthly prizes to be won at a value of approximately £10 each
There is a 1st prize of £150 for the winner of the league
There is a 2nd prize of £100 for the runner up of the league
There is a 3rd prize of £50 for the third placed in the league
There is a Cup Winner’s prize of £50 for the winner of the Allstar Cup

As there are 13 paying players in the competition this year, if they all complete there £1 a week payments, the Allstars will be left with circa £70 contribution at the end of the season.

This section of the website is dedicated to the fantasy footy fundraiser and you will be able to read about the past seasons and winners, keep track of cup progress and see who has won what prizes each month and year.
